dvi2bitmap / News: Recent posts

Version 0.13 of dvi2bitmap was released on 21 August 2005. This is identical to the last beta, 0.13b3, apart from a couple of very minor portability fixes.

dvi2bitmap is a utility to convert TeX DVI files directly to bitmaps, without going through the complicated (and slow!) route of conversion via PostScript and PNM. It consists of a library plus an application. In June 2005 it moved from its previous home to sourceforge, acquired a home page there (http://dvi2bitmap.sourceforge.net/), and celebrated with the release of version 0.13b3

This release has a few minor bugfixes from 0.13b2 -- mostly portability fixes -- and should be followed by the 0.13 stable release quite soon.... read more
