Hello! I have attempted install three times. Two doeloads of the ISO and on two differnt USb sticks. All attempts end up stuck at 'Retrieving file 1 of 3' . i will attempt to add pictures. I though maybe I was expecting too much and left it run ivernight. No luck. Machine in an HP with an I5 2.4 and 16 gig RAM. 1TB ssd.

Assuming you are running the latest DragonOS Noble you should be able to run sudo apt update and sudo apt install jtdx. Note that this is the standard jtdx and not the improved version. I’m not sure what people prefer these days. Greetings, Thanks for your answer. Much appreciated. Yes, HP ZBook 17 G1 is the generation just before the G2 but it is quite similar. That said, I just found the answer and it stands in the BIOS. You have to go to BIOS: Advanced -> Boot Options -> Boot Mode and select "UEFI Native (Without CSM) " instead of "Legacy". If you select "Legacy", then DragonOS will never boot once installed on the HDD of the ZBook. I hope this helps for anyone using DragonOS on this kind of laptop.

Hey Mykhaylo, sorry not keeping up on here. I would say best to focus on any RF links that may be in use. I imagine the RTL-SDR wouldn't cover too much, unless there's usage under 1.5Ghz or so. Best bet may be the NanoVNA. Try and see if you can get ahold of a HackRF. For anything else, try and reach me via the site.

Hi, Having issues getting my Rtl-Sdr V4 Blog going. Was wondering which rtl-sdr drivers come pre-installed with DragonOS 24.04 Noble. I know there is a modified Osmocom driver with enhancements for RTL-SDR Blog V3 and V4 units. Is that driver the one that comes already installed? I assumed that it didn't so I used the install directions from their website as I have before but it seems to break things. The pre-install process seems heavy handed in it's use of purge and rm. Cheers.

Tried a fork that had all the most recent PRs from people but ultimately ran into an issue with QT, tried modifying and had no luck yet. I’m willing to bet if you used a python virtual environment, say 3.11 or earlier, and within it pulled in q spectrum it may work? Cemaxecuter, No worries, glad you're willing to give it another look. If it's not possible I guess I will have to roll up my sleeves and see if I can pipe the output to PyQtGraph or some other plotter. Cheers.

Scott, I’ll give it a try again and see if there’s been any updates but I seem to recall having an issue with it building on 24.04. Give me a couple days, I’m trying to get a new ISO uploaded anyways with HydraSDR support. I am looking at the install list for DragonOS_Noble_R4 and see that QspectrumAnalyzer will not be installed. Is Qspectrumanalyzer being dropped, or are there plans to eventually make it available again? I use it for quick visual scans before I run a bash script. The script uses soapy_power and sed to format the output to a CSV file that I can bring into Shure and Audio-Technica's wirless workbench. The programs are windows exe but work well in wine. The sed part of the script took me awhile to figure...

It is a strange behaviour indeed. In windows I have various limesuite.dll files, but they don't show any version info in the properties. I made the first installation with Pothos SDR: Pothos v0.8.0-PothosSDR-2021.07.25-vc16-x64. The device in device manager is identified as "FDTI FT602 USB 3.0 Bridge Device", driver provider FTDI, Date: 27/03/2024, Driver version: 1.3.0.10. Back to DragonOS, also SDRAngel works fine with the LimeSDR Mini. In windows SDRAngel comes with its own limesuite.dll file...

Davide, Some background, I attempted to install both NG (which also provided a legacy API) as well as the non NG drivers. Lime people said they can both be installed. A bit confusing if you ask me. So I went and fired up SDR++ on the latest R3 ISO and have a limev2 plugged in. I get one device listed in the drop down and two things I noticed, the antenna setting can only be set to auto (other options are garbled mess) and the sample rate and bandwidth must both be manually set (not auto). I then...

Hi & thanks for the nice work! I'm having issues with the LimeSDR Mini key in DragonOS Noble R2 running bare metal on a live persistent USB. SDR++ crash at start. Gqrx lists two devices: The one with "USB 3.0" in the device name (driver=lime in the log below) make the program crash. The one without "USB 3.0" in the device name (driver=limesuiteng in the log below) don't cause crash but does not provide any sample in output. The same happens using limeGUI. In GNURadio: Block "LimeSuiteNG Source" works...

R37.1 is the release based on lubuntu 22.04 with last ISO release date from 2024. Have you tried the current 2025 release? The latest one at the moment is: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dragonos-focal/files/DragonOS_Noble_R2.iso/download Did you have the same problem with the current release?

  • NDXsW NDXsW posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

when i suspend my laptop running focalX R37.1, it never locks the session. maybe that is the default behavior? i'd like it to prompt for password upon resuming. simple config fix for this? tried a few "stackoverflow" suggestions but zero mileage there.
