#7 Dowser makes nonhidden subdir in $HOME

Dowser creates a /home/reinout/dowser on my machine.

It is bad practice for applications to put nonhidden
stuff in a user's home directory without asking.
Especially irritating if you use your home dir as
desktop (like you can do in GNOME). Please use .dowser
or any other way of not cluttering the home dir. Thanks.
