Metro Version 1.0.2 released

Version 1.0.2 of the Metro packet library has been released, and there are some big changes in this one. It now uses a new network driver, has support for ethernet and ARP and adapter enumeration and the logging has been completely redone from scratch. Note that it hasn't been tested much yet, but that's why it's still in early alpha. Soon I'll be creating some sample applications, and doing some proper testing.

New version of metro out soon

This is just to let you know what's on it's way.

I've been working hard on the library, and have added alot of cool things to it. It can now use an NDIS protocol driver, included with the library, to access the link layer layer. Using this new driver, I added support for the ARP protocol so you can now resolve IP addresses to MAC addresses. With the new access to the link layer, you can now access ethernet and have access to raw MAC addresses and can even sniff in promiscious mode.... read more

Metro Version 1.0.1 Released

This new release of the Metro library contains a new TcpSynScanner class for performing stealthier TCP SYN port scanning. It also contains several small bug fixes, including fixes for IP options. The ICMP ping manager class, and the ICMP trace route class now have some new options for performing packet fragmentation and routing (Note that many routers drop fragmented packets due to fragments slipping past many routers and filters, and most will drop source routed packets due to severe vulnerabilities in the option).

Metro Version 1.0.0 released

Version 1.0.0 of the Metro Packet library has been released. This is a very early pre-alpha and so may be unstable. This version already has some useful features like packet sniffing, trace routing, ping, tcp table reader, parsing for ipv4, udp and icmp, and network interface enumeration. No sample projects yet, but there is technical documentation provided.
