we are using docfetcher to indexes and search data on a portable disk. The only thing that is changinig in a index is the drive. like on a computer the drive is G: and on another computer the drive is H:. The disk it's for user, we need that they don't to create the index. .
Hi,
have you considered putting DocFetcher on the portale disk along with the index and data?
Note that there's a Portale Apps version of DocFetcher which can be run with a portale (i.e. non-installed) Java runtime: https://portableapps.com/node/53747
Best regards

#139Be sure to unpack the contents of the downloaded portale DocFetcher package onto the drive which contains your indexed documents, and whose drive letter might change.
Also check the "Store relative paths if possible" option before indexing. If your indexes were built with this option unchecked, you'll have to rebuilt those indexes.
