Please kindly revisit if possible. I am not sure whether it is a right way to request or ask but please ignore if it is wrong to request/ask. Does any little contribution would make this feature available considerable for the change or to adopt quickly?

Small contributions wouldn't help in this matter. This requires some deep architectural changes, which I'm more than a little hesitant to entrust to anybody but myself. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do it myself, as I'm currently taking care of another project of mine.

Sorry, but you're seriously underestimating the time and costs involved. As someone who's been in the software industry for over 7 years, I can tell you that with a typical pay rate of 80 $ per hour, a medium-sized feature like this would probably cost something like 2,500 $.
For comparison, the cost of the DocFetcher project as a whole is probably beyond 50,000 $.
And no, I wouldn't do it even if you paid me 2,500 $, because I simply don't have time.

@Java Developer Do you mean some thing like this?.
Thanks to the excellent framework, it's not extremely hard to implement that.
Might be a little slow in big database.
Details can be found here.

Google and Ambar Cloud (https://ambar.cloud/) has type-ahead search
engine for the uploaded documents.
Please consider on implementing type-ahead search in the future.
Yes, which would search inside the contents and give us the results...and navigate to files easily...This is what i required....
It would be even great if we could able to see the portion of the string getting highlighted in the preview window. like in ambar cloud if possible...
Zhengmian Hu..can you get in touch with the original author Nam-Quang Tran to integrate this..If the search might be slow you can have a checkbox and whoever interested can choose and use the type-ahead search if needed. Can add a tooltip saying this search might be slow and do you really want to go-ahead or something alerting the user if required.

I'm not sure what you mean by "portion of the string", by default all matched string will be highlighted in the preview window. I don't use amber... so I cannot totally understand the behavior you describe.
I'm in touch with Nam-Quang Tran and we are both willing to bring this feature to public, but that might cost some time for code review, testing and documente. If you are willing to have a taste of unstable version, you can find a pre-release here.
For the performance issue, at least on my computer, type-ahead search doesn't damage my daily usage. I also made a commit yesterday to ensure new query will terminate old query if possible which means theoretically type-ahead search will not intefere normal search.
Also, this version does have a checkox for this function.

i know you both are willing to bring this feature to public and it involves some time. when i can expect to come and check back here to see it got release? out of curiosity - a month or two or 6 month or a year? so that will come back and check for the same

Would you be able to consider this if i'm willing to contribute 100$ to get this architectural changes and fixes?

@ Java Developer: Go to the DocFetcher SourceForge page and click on the "Get Updates" button.
@Nam-Quang Tran. Thank you and have clicked the button...
Type-ahead search has been added in DocFetcher 1.1.20.
