Wxdkdraw is a minimalistic drawing program for use in LaTeX environments.
Drawings can contain polylines, polygons, rectangular boxes, circles, ellipses, arcs, splines, dots, pins, text labels, and embedded bitmap images.
Existing wxdkdraw drawings can be used as library elements in new drawings.
Two types of text labels are available:
Normal text
When producing LaTeX output special characters (i.e. german umlauts) are replaced by appropriate LaTeX commands.
When producing a LaTeX document the font is used as configured on the text label.
When producing a LaTeX object for use in a LaTeX document a font with similar features (roman/sans-serif/typewriter, normal/bold, upright/italic) is used.
LaTeX text
No information about font or text size is written to output. The label text is written as is, no modification is applied.
Wxdkdraw can be used for all drawing types placing graphic objects on a rectangular grid.
Manual
The [wxdkdraw manual] describes the program in detail.
Conversion to (pdf)LaTeX
The [wxd2lat] program converts wxdkdraw drawings to file formats for use with (pdf)LaTeX.
File format
The [wxdkdraw file format] page describes the file format created and used by wxdkdraw.
