Project still ticking along.

This project has not gone away. I am working on a final release for the project. I have changed the interface to use can aerospace (Arinc 825) and have developed a series of hardware solutions to support this project.
The solution is still built on Windows 32/Windows CE 7.0. Have not built the linux version for a while.
The code can be built to use the CANUSB device from http://www.can232.com/ and has been tested using that.... read more

New code

I have completed a cross platform build of the AIO as well as establishing a wiki that will track the features and development.
I plan to bring a unit to Oshkosh this year to allow people to see one working. Let me know on the oshkosh365 forum if you are interested.

Initial Code Check in

I have uploaded the code for the EFIS to the project. The code is in flux and has non GPL copyright at present. I will be updating this over the next week or so.
The general goal for this project is to initially develop a code base that is supported by a hardware abstraction layer on windows and linux that provides a sensible efis for experimental aircraft use.
As part of the project I am also developing a Cirrus ARM7 based implementation to support the EFIS, however I want to get the emulation running first before the hardware is finalized.
The project has been developed over the last 8 years as a part-time project but with the ease of supply of solid state gyros and accelerometers the task is now much easier. So a real push for this to be ready some time in 2010 is now on.
