How to Modify the Content

Robert Reinert

Manual Editing:
- All of the program's resources are located in the "Resources" folder. The images, sounds, and themes are all there. To modify it you can open it with Microsoft Paint or any graphic editing software you have. You can also load and replace images with other files you may have previously made. To use them, simply covert the image to a .png file type, and rename it to the corresponding body part (Head1.png, Head2.png, Leg1.png, etc.) and it will automatically be loaded into the Desktop Buddy Creator the next time it is loaded.
- You can also edit all the sounds of the desktop buddy creator. Simply use any audio editing software you have, such as sound recorder, and edit or replace the existing sound files.

Resource Editing:
- If manually editing the resource files are too hard for you, then you can easily use the included RESOURCE EDIT PROGRAM! This program is located under the "Edit" tab on the main menu. Scroll down to Edit Resources and click on the button. In the resource editor, there are two important settings you can adjust - the image and sound editor you use to modify the content files. The default programs are Microsoft Paint and Sound Editor - ones that should already be installed on your computer when you get it. If you do have better programs, or simply don’t have those two installed, then you can change it as visually shown below:
