Getting Started

When you want to run the Desktop Buddy program there are two ways to do it. First open the Desktop Buddy folder. From there you can run the "QuickStart.exe" file that can be moved anywhere for your convenience. You can even drag it onto your desktop or make a shortcut icon to it. If for some reason the quick start file gets deleted or lost, you can use the alternate method. To do this, go into the "Resources" Folder and double click on the .exe file named "DesktopBuddyCreator".

When you run the program you will be taken to the main menu. The main menu has three main buttons as well as a tool bar on the top of the window. To edit your buddy simply click on the "Edit" button and another window will pop up. Select the buttons on the toolbar to change the name, head, body, and legs of your buddy. After you are done setting up the buddy, click on the "file" button and click "save" on the drop down menu. A message should show up that says "saved". Now you can exit out of the window using the file menu or the red X at the top of the window.
