As planned, the DBLX team has completed and released DBLX 1.5!
This release brings great improvement in our support for ANSI SQL as well as a ton of enhancements and performance improvements.
Here is a list of the new features in DBLX 1.5:
- Full datatype support for char, integer, decimal, double, autonumber, datetime, and boolean.
- Support for all comparators in the where clause, including equals, not equals, greater than, less than, greater than or equals, less than or equals, LIKE and NOT LIKE.
- Full support for single and double quotes in any part of the sql query.
- Full support for spaces, commas, and other special character values, including rentention of proper character in UTF 8.
- Full support for database users
- Added different security levels and the ability to grant to users.
- Added Describe Database
Here are some enhancements we made:
- Faster and better time when updating or using a locked table item.
- Implemented authentication cache to improve performance with user lookups.
- Changed SQL query cleaning code.
- Fixed issues with special charaters in database values.
- Improved sql parser performance
- Improved error feedback messages
There is more, and we will keep this note updated as we go.
We have a lot more software components that go with release 1.5 so stay tuned.
