Tested using the latest DBAN (as of 2015 version) 2.3.0 and not dban -2.0.0 which hasn't been tested.
This is in reference to a security issue (memory leak to the disk being blanked) when issac is selected via the command line options. /usr/local/bin/dwipe --prng=isaac Instead of random data being written to the disk being wiped, the contents of an uninitialized buffer is written to disk instead.
However if you don't put the option --prng=isaac on the command line and just use DBAN (dwipe) in interactive mode, despite what is displayed in the GUI when you select Isaac, in fact the merseene prng is always used instead of Isaac.
This bug has been fixed in nwipe 0.31 and a shortly to be released ShredOS 2020 the will be running the latest nwipe 0.31
