The current Linux kernel being embedded in the DBAN ISO is version 3.2 which does not support the Intel Haswell platform (which has now been out for almost 6 months), upgrading the kernel to 3.8+ should solve this. I would be happy to help with a patch.

    I have also encountered problems, even just booting the image (about two years back), and couldn't manipulate the ISO and pop in new kernel etc. I ended up using buildroot + kernel 3.10.5 and added disknukem and some other stuff like lsiutil into the buildroot. I'll share if you want to give it a try.

    I'm currently looking at updating it to buildroot 15.02 with a 3.18.x kernel. Which will also fix [#57] and hopefully [#59].
