After more than a year of developing under the name datamodeler, the project will be discontinued and renamed to modelbuilder. Modelbuilder too will be hosted on sourceforge.net (http://sourceforge.net/projects/modelbuilder). Currently the development of 0.7.0 (the version will not be reset) is reaching it's final stage and new releases will be done as modelbuilder. See for more information the datamodeler homepage.
All development items have been implemented. See the homepage for more info.
As of today DataModeler has a new project homepage. The homepage is based on MediaWiki and as a result will have much more (dynamic) content available. All users and / or interested can now make new pages and modify the content.
As of today the 0.5.0-RC1 win32 binary is released. Other platforms are available on request.
Finally the new version of datamodeler is now set to be released in Feb-06.
Developement on Lazarus 0.5.0 RC1 is coming along more rapidly than first anticipated. Current estimates are that within three weeks the first RC will be released to the public.
It's almost one year now since datamodeler was registered with sourceforge.
Initially developed under Delphi, currently being ported to Lazarus. Not only is the source being ported, but also improvements are being implemented, resulting in slowing down the process.
A new release is expected to be made before the end of this year.
Datamodeler will no longer be developed using Delphi. Currently CVS is in a transition state to Lazarus.
Lazarus is the class libraries for Free Pascal that emulate Delphi. Free Pascal is a GPL'ed compiler that runs on Linux, Win32, OS/2, 68K and more.

As of now DataModeler is available from CVS. Currenlty only the unstable version will be available, as the stable source will be distributed from the download pages.
