No

At the moment CVSView uses Runtime.exec() to actually
call
out to the "surrounding" shell and run "cvs annotate"
there. I'm not at all sure how portable this is. Does
it work, for example, on Windows boxes?

An alternative would be to add code to handle the CVS
commands directly. We could probably use existing code
(e.g., jCVS), but that code would have to be understood
and incorporated, which would probably be a reasonable
amount of work. It might give us more flexibility down
the road, but it's unclear that we need that
flexibility now.
