CVS Surfer is a program written in Visual Basic 6. It is a standard desktop application for viewing the data in a CVS repository (or multiple repositories). It uses the same type of code found in cvs4iis but does not require a web server. There is an install package that contains all the files needed to run it (except cvs.exe). The installer will place the source code (it is in a .zip file) into the folder that you install in. Check it out and send me some feedback. - Thanks.
Version 2.0.0 shows more information on the files screen and allows for a much wider range of remote cvs servers to be shown (like pservers). It also detects more cvs errors such as connection errors and abort errors.
Lots of bug fixes and added features. See the file notes for more information. http://cvs4iis.sf.net/
CVS4IIS has a brand new homepage. Check it out at http://cvs4iis.lr-tc.com.
1.3 has a *.msi file for easy installation of the COM+ components (through component services in the control panel). See the installing.txt file for more instructions on setting cvs4iis up. Be sure to check out the screen shots of this version which were just released also (look in the "Docs" section.)
I add the feature of being able to specify a section of the code and create a forum topic based on that section. So you can mark sections of code and comment on it and people can reply to your comment. Should be good for collaboration. I still need to link things together more but it is getting close to the finsh line.
