Hi CrazyCat, I'm currently working with a TBS5880 and CrazyScan2, and I can clearly see per-subcarrier constellations in DVB-T. The constellations look well defined and stable, which suggests that the demodulated symbols per subcarrier are available. I would like to access this same data (per-subcarrier constellation / symbols over time) from an external program. This is very far from "working" and very similar results are produced by CrazyScan and EBS Pro too. This is exactly the issue with Blindscan for 5930 - it is able to find only some few random transponders after a very long time. It is not usable at all, so yes - it is not working. Have you tried SR 6952? 6900 is not a commonly used SR value for DOCSIS. And in case of being off the correct SR value you may get random lock/unlock statuses based on how successful tuner will be trying to correct the offset. Worth to check IMHO ;)

  • BloodMan BloodMan posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Hi CrazyCat, First of all, thanks for this software – it's useful! But as the title suggests: Everything works fine when I check my DVB-T or DVB-C signal – but I also have an old DOCSIS (v3) signal in my network. CrazyScan2 gets lost here – although sometimes it's OK. I've already changed the mode from AUTO to DVB-T/C/etc., as well as the symbol rate – then either it doesn't recognize the signal or it's the same (i.e., sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't). I also understand that CS2 is "for TV"...

Cheers @crazycat69. I guess not much can be done on the BDA driver side of things. Do you know if the RF Level and SNR can be inferred/calculated from the signal level and quality percentages respectively given by the drivers for either card? For example, you mentioned the following on an issue over at GitHub: > Both demod drivers stv0910 and mxl5xx report legacy (dvb api v3) signal strength (%) as RFLevel(dBm) + 100, and SNR(%)=SNR(dB) * 5. Most important is SNR.
