Hi CrazyCat, I'm currently working with a TBS5880 and CrazyScan2, and I can clearly see per-subcarrier constellations in DVB-T. The constellations look well defined and stable, which suggests that the demodulated symbols per subcarrier are available. I would like to access this same data (per-subcarrier constellation / symbols over time) from an external program. Is this information available through the StreamReaderEx API or any documented interface? Or is CrazyScan accessing it through specific...
I try to use TBS5580 reciever on blind mode scan, but unfortunately program is stuck and dont move Used version of blind scan is 1.0.2.185 I use last driver v1.1.0.4 and windows 11 x64! Please, help somebody and explain whats the problem?
Your screenshot shows that from Hot Bird (where there's like ~80 transponders) you have barely found 5. This is very far from "working" and very similar results are produced by CrazyScan and EBS Pro too. This is exactly the issue with Blindscan for 5930 - it is able to find only some few random transponders after a very long time. It is not usable at all, so yes - it is not working. It would be "working" when it would find at least most of frequencies. 5930, 5530 and 5590V2 will never have a proper...

Have you tried SR 6952? 6900 is not a commonly used SR value for DOCSIS. And in case of being off the correct SR value you may get random lock/unlock statuses based on how successful tuner will be trying to correct the offset. Worth to check IMHO ;)
Hi CrazyCat, First of all, thanks for this software – it's useful! But as the title suggests: Everything works fine when I check my DVB-T or DVB-C signal – but I also have an old DOCSIS (v3) signal in my network. CrazyScan2 gets lost here – although sometimes it's OK. I've already changed the mode from AUTO to DVB-T/C/etc., as well as the symbol rate – then either it doesn't recognize the signal or it's the same (i.e., sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't). I also understand that CS2 is "for TV"...
The information on the right side of the signal analyser is missing data. How can I solve this?
Found the issue. With a LNB connected it now works. I guess the error shows up if the RF input level is too low.
Hi, I just bought a TBS5927 card and want to use it in the wide tuning range of 250-2150 MHz with CrazyScan. I installed the latest Win10 1.0.0.7 driver from TBS website. But it seems to not work, I keep getting a "BLScanEx failed !" error, see attachment. I changed default StreamReader.ini to this: ;! Change IF range (default 950-2150MHz) IFStart=250 IFStop=2150 ;LNBMid=6000 ;LNBStk=23000 In Crazyscan I set L-Band as LNB and disabled 22 kHz checkbox and set 250-2150 MHz as in the interval tab. Hi @crazycat69, I would like to request a feature for CrazyScan2 to loop and export AirScan readings/statistics (e.g. RF Level, SNR, BER) to a text log (similar to what BDADataEx and EBSpro do during signal monitoring) or perhaps spreadsheet table data. Is it possible to implement this as an option please, and if so, can it be similarly done for the BlindScan function in Crazyscan? Hope this makes sense and many thanks.

so 3 or 4 at the same time recording is working fine without any problem so why happening just when changing channels both 3 or 4 on tuners? so device? sadly
but i testing a lot of so just its signal loss happening when i just watch and change channels both 3 tuner at the same time but working all good for recording just.
With 6909x you can use only one StreamreaderEx-based app instance.
wow really? no driver problem? omg what i can do now? so then which card is without problem of 4 tuner card for 4 tuner both use and also that must be s2x? then i think TBS6909-X V2?
this hardware problem
hi thx for this project before for "crazyscan". and i have problem for my TBS6904SE card. i using 3 both tuner with 3 sata cable but sometime one tuner is going to signal lossing and no streaming. any fix? thx too much
5530 and 5930 don't have blindscan support. Supported devices: https://sourceforge.net/p/crazyscan/wiki/Info/
Hello, I want to buy USB TBS DVB-S2x card. I was trying to found which card is supporting blindscan/blindscan2, but I wasn't able. I thinking about TBS5530, TBS5930 and TBS5580. Have someone these cards and can you confirm me which card is working with Blindscan and Blindscan2? Also if it is supporting EBSPro? Thank you very much.
Hi @crazycat69, This is going to be a long shot, but would StreamReader have support for any of the Conexant/Trident-branded demods? Hoping to give a new lease on life to a TBS6984 tuner card (2x Trident's CX24117-13Z). Many thanks.
Yes, it is a temporary solution for now, waiting for you to solve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you, my friend.
1.2.4.133 not have full support for GX1133-based devices, only restricted support based on BDA driver. You can disable HWControl in streamreader.ini and have same restricted suppot in current StreamReaderEx-BDA
The frequencies work well with Stream Reader version 1.2.4.133, but all modern versions have an error (no lock).
Still the same my friend @crazycat69
try new test build StreamReaderEx-BDA
@crazycat69 ??
@crazycat69 Anything new my friend?
@crazycat69 It is a really big problem. The frequencies are searched normally on other programs via BDA, but on EBSpro via the modern stream reader, the frequencies are not searched and it gives a no lock message as in the pictures.
This is it 👇 @crazycat69
please show streamreader.log
Hello my friend @crazycat69, we are facing a problem with the newer versions of Stream Reader on the TBS6902 card when searching for some frequencies, as in the picture, it doesn't search and gives us (No lock), knowing that when using the old version of Stream Reader 1.2.4.133 it searches well for frequencies, but it cannot be relied upon because in BlScan 2 it is very slow compared to the newer versions. Thank you.

Cool, thanks again for clarifying, much appreciated.
This note related only to linux drivers and some certain products.
Cheers @crazycat69. I guess not much can be done on the BDA driver side of things. Do you know if the RF Level and SNR can be inferred/calculated from the signal level and quality percentages respectively given by the drivers for either card? For example, you mentioned the following on an issue over at GitHub: > Both demod drivers stv0910 and mxl5xx report legacy (dvb api v3) signal strength (%) as RFLevel(dBm) + 100, and SNR(%)=SNR(dB) * 5. Most important is SNR.
BDADataEx show signal statistic provided from BDA driver.
Hi crazycat69, Are there plans for the TBS6205 (Si2168 demod) and TBS6984 (CX24117 demod) to have SignalEx support implemented in BDADataEx? StreamReaderBDA-Ex appears to be able to read the former's extended statistics (e.g. RF Level and SNR) when using CrazyScan2 but not for the latter with CrazyScan. Hoping to do some monitoring with these old cards. Many thanks for your help and work on this.

Hi. Why does the scan when selecting C-band have a different shape and is shifted compared to the real LOCK looks different than when selecting L-band or Ku-band ?

Do you have a solution to run this package on satellite cards ?
StreamReader just pass TS to user-space applications.
Hello @crazycat69 We want a Stream Reader that supports running the Abertis package on the Hispasat 30 West satellite. Attached are the package frequencies from the global frequency website FlySat. Thank you. https://flysat.com/en/package/abertis-dtt-9/hispasat-30w-5

Hello guys, I have a problem using EBSProd and Blindscan2. Everything goes smooth until it finds tp with low SR then is stucks forever. is this happening to other people as well? The only solution to unlock this situation is to unplug the cable for few seconds then it moves forward. I will attach logs here. Thanks!
Remove FFTScan correction.

Greetings to everyone. Could someone tell me if it is possible to use SCR with CrazyScan. I have to use a decoder and my Tbs5520Se connected to a single satellite cable. THANK YOU.
now for me found myself solution for this card today , since today the most i testing working now ... i can say its a streamreader problem.
Any progress with this issue of the spectrum peaks offset from the vertical frequency markers in FFT mode for TBS 6522H card and TBS 6904SE card. FFT mode is useless with these cards, it seems it is also the same issue with TBS6903x card?
@antoniopev If you use your TBS6522 card with CrazyScan in FFT scan mode are the vertical frequency markers offset from the spectrum peaks? I have this card and for FFT scan the frequency markers are never aligned with the peaks.
I have found a similar issue with the CrazyScan FFT scan mode with TBS6904SEand TBS6522 cards. It does not happen with the RF scan mode, it is only for FFT mode. I asked about this issue on this forum about the spectrum peaks offset from the vertical carrier markers and was told FFT mode is experimental and that is how it is :-(
I have found a similar issue with the CrazyScan FFT scan mode with TBS6904SEand TBS6522 cards. It does not happen with the RF scan mode, it is only for FFT mode. I asked about this issue on this forum about the spectrum peaks not lined up with the vertical carrier markers and was told FFT mode is experimental and that is how it is :-(
too bad I thought that in these years something had changed, ok I'll keep it waiting for developments, for the crazy I'll use the 6925 or the 6522 waiting for the 6983 to arrive which will retire the 6925 thanks
There is the same problem with the vertical frequency markers and the spectrum peaks with the TBS 6904SE card in FFT mode. The markers and corresponding peaks are not aligned. FFT mode is useless for the TBS 6522H and the TBS 6904SE in CrazyScan under Windows O/S, simplt does not work correctly.
Antonio, resign yourself, the TBS6903X is a poorly built card. I've had it for 3 years, even though new drivers have been released over time, the problems you mentioned have never been solved. They leave out the blindscan hardware problem. In short, a 400 euro PC card should be perfect, but after 3 years I can say that this one sucks. ciao
the scanning problem was solved with a clean installation of Crazy, but the signal offset problem remains unsolved, the marker is off by several mhz compared to the image even if the frequency is exact (sat C band 20 east) while in KU band the marker remains at the center of the signal
6903 x
please explain to me why the images with 6903X are so bad, and the signals are found outside the carrier while with the old 6925 the images are clear and the signal is found in the center of the carrier is the board defective or is there some correction to be made on crazy scan thanks
