I have the same problem. Other switches like Mobile data and Wi-Fi works but not 2G/3G switch. I'm using CPU Tuner 3.4.1 on Samsung Galaxy Ace with stock Android 2.3.6 ROM. Thanks for your great work in CPU Tuner and best regards. Nelson K.

My phone also doesn't switch 3G/2G. It's a LG Optimus 4X HD P880 with stock ROM ICS 4.0.3.
Also I read somewhere about GPS switching that will be deleted? How can I enable GPS switching in my current CPU tuner version 3.4.1?

Fort those having problems switching 2G/3G, did you try to move the CPU Tuner apk in /system/app with proprietary and group = root ?
This worked for me with my Desire HD running JB 4.2.1.
But regarding GPS I have the same question...

Same problem here using latest cm 10.1 20130330 nightly on android 4.2.2 default kernel. Switching via onboard energy toolbar does not work after this error. Only using *#*#4636#*#* and reset to 3g mixed mode...
