I have just downloaded latest version of cover retriever. I'm using win 7 pro x64, and when I try to load my music directory I get the message "Cover Retriever has stopped working" I have tried running as administrator as well as setting compatibility to XPsp3.

Nothing has worked please help.

Could you please send me crash log message from Windows Event viewer?

Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer
Find event source "Cover Retriever". It will be very helpful.
