#6 Trying to build ncurses version on ubuntu 16.04 fails compiling

I am trying to build the ncurses version pmars, but I am getting errors compiling it. Here are the relevant lines from the Makefile:

CFLAGS = -O -DEXT94 -DPERMUTATE -DGRAPHX
LFLAGS = -x
LIB = -lcurses                          # enable this one for curses display

When I try and run the make I get this:

I am compiling on Ubuntu 16.04 and want the curses/ncurses version... Any help appreciated!
