Confdump / News: Recent posts

It has been a while since our last public release, but here is it at least!

In the past year we've completely rewritten the agent to reach these goals:
- dumps system configuration from Windows and Linux
- leverage WMI on Windows
- allow custom configuration dumping implementation where needed (all of Linux, some Windows information)
- output as text for interactive usage
- output as XML for further processing by other software such as Confdump-Server... read more

We're proud to annonce the first public release of Confdump/Sys for Linux.

Confdump/Sys takes a snapshot of your system's configuration, currently including:
- Hardware information
- OS information
- Routes and interfaces
- Partitions
- Running processes and daemons
- Content of many configuration files

Available for download are:
- the (Perl) source
- standalone binaries for popular platforms
