ClexusMUD's New Website Forums

After a complaint about SourceForge's generous, yet severely limited forums, and after my own frustrations, I've gone ahead and installed a forum to our website.

Its a standard phpBB forum, but its great! There is now a link to it on our main website, or you can go straight to it at http://clexusmud.sourceforge.net/forums/index.php . Please, I encourage all visitors, commentators, and potential developers, to visit and use these forums, as a much better alternative to the SourceForge forum set.... read more

ClexusMUD's Website, New and Improved

Well, this isn't project specific, but I thought I'd give our website a less dull look. The only reason I kept the old up for so long was because I put so much freakin work into it, without thinking about its sheer ugliness.

Anywho, the new look is up, with some user-friendly features. I don't have all the content up yet, but the skeleton site is up, and about half the links work. (All that point to SourceForge pages.)... read more

ClexusMUD Framework v0.3.8 Released

Once again, I've neglected the mud side of things. I've worked more on the logging system - things are now logged using objects to represent a log entry.

This makes all logging operations standardized. This will allow for future implementation of exporting logs as XML and such.

Also, this set of component releases are all in the form of (ZIPed) installers. Download the release, unzip, and then run Setup.EXE. Pretty simple. Each component is an installer for the source code and assembly for that component.... read more

ClexusMUD Framework v0.3.3 Released

Wow! Another milestone in ClexusMUD development!

Granted, none of the work new to this release is MUD specific, but the framework has taken another large stride.

There is now, though still internalized, support for dynamic subsystem management. All of the server subsystems inherit from a common abstract base, which implements a required interface. Additional subsystems can be added from an external assembly, or even C#/VB.NET code from a text file! Simply amazing stuff!... read more

ClexusMUD Framework v0.3.1 Released

Another small, (yet progressively larger than the last) milestone in the development of the ClexusMUD framework has been released.

ClexusMUD.Core is no longer the only pre-requisite for running ClexusMUD.ServerApps.Console program. From here on out, all server applications will rely on the new ClexusMUD.Server assembly, (which in turn depends on ClexusMUD.Core). Previous versions of ClexusMUD.ServerApps.Console will no longer work with the new ClexusMUD.Core, and new versions of the ClexusMUD.ServerApps.Console will not function singly on ClexusMUD.Core alone.... read more
