I experienced the symptoms described in \"Classic Shell Explorer HIghlight Issue? - ID: 3556310\". Unfortunately for me, I permanently deleted all of the files in my \"Work\" directory, instead of just one sub-directory of my work directory. I was fooled by the Windows 7 bug that allowed two items to remain highlighted, and I was fooled in a very disastrous way. I lost a month\'s worth of work.

The problem is introduced by Windows 7 SP1, and is completely fixed by by the recommended hotfix. Since I had Windows 7 SP1 installed when I installed Classic Shell, it would have been really nice if the installer had warned me that I needed the hotfix (or even better installed the hotfix).

You have to install the hotfix KB2653385. I can't include hotfixes as part of my installer.

I understand that you cannot install the hotfix in the installer, but the installer should have the ability to detect if the OS is Windows 7 SP1, and warn the end user to get the hotfix. The bug may be Microsoft's fault, but you can at least inform the user that a problem may exist.

I really appreciate this software, but the fact that I lost a month's worth of work is really scary.
