When using Chicken to open a connection to a VNC server, the display is larger than my monitor. If I use the Chicken scroll bar the display will freeze and the VNC server won't register any of my mouse clicks. If I close the connection and try to reconnect I get a message:
Unknown rectangle encoding -654319616 -> exiting

This lasts a few minutes before returning to normal or I can reconnect.

What is the VNC server software you're using? Can you try connecting "View Only" and see if you have the same problems?

TightVNC Server - default options

If I check "View Only" I can connect to the server, unchecked and I get the error message.
