#1 Custom font gets messed up on HandEra

On the HandEra 330, the custom font, Minico, gets
messed up. The exclamation point character gets
changed to a space, and the space character often--but
not always--gets changed to garbage (although the same
garbage for each row of pixels in the space character).

This appears to be a general problem with the HandEra's
handling of custom fonts in scale-to-fit mode. The bug does
not occur when running at traditional resolution.
