In doing some reasearch for good ways to get the OSX driver working, I 
found this:

A simple API for doing cross-platform audio, it looks like it would be 
very easy to include in the cheesetronic core (just one header and one 
cpp file).  It would also let someone write a driver that would work 
with linux/alsa, linux/oss, windows, irix, and macosx without having to 
do anything special.

Is anyone up for giving it a shot?  I would kill and/or pay to be able 
to use cheesetracker on my mac.  :)
