Hi,
Been trying to get Chart Geany to run on my new build of MX Linux (MX-21, Debian 11.2, Xfce 4.16.0).
Installed via
< sudo alien chartgeany-6.1.7-1.fc33.x86_64.rpm
< sudo dpkg -i chartgeany_6.1.7-2_amd64.deb
If I run ChartGeany from the menu nothing happens. Running from the terminal gives :-
< ChartGeany: error while loading shared libraries: libxlsreader.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Have searched for libxlsreader.so.8 but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello Lucas,
Switched from MX to Manjaro, so didn't get a chance to see if it would work on MX, but I have Chart Geany running on Manjaro, using the snap as per your advice. Looks good so far.
Thanks for your help, and for creating Chart Geany. Finding stockmarket charting software for Linux is like finding hen's teeth !.

Hello,
Remove the installed deb and try the snap:
sudo snap install chartgeany
