I have started working on converting over to MySQL. After a few hours of work (my first time with MySQL, no less), I managed to convert the members portion of the database to operate off the MySQL DB.
Up next is topics and posts, which is going to be a little harder.

I will be spending the next week or two working on changing Chaos Central over to the MySQL database system. This will make it easier to many of the thing that I want to do, as well as making it more efficient.
If you have any problems with the current flat-file version, please let me know, and I will still provide support for you.
