CGS MedRec 2 is in the make!

CGS MedRec version 2

This information might be useful for anyone using or considering using CGS MedRec and is curious about the features in development that may be available in new versions to come in the near future.

The aim:

1. CGS MedRec 2 will be adapted to comply with the Microsoft "Universal Windows Application" standard. This will enable CGS MedRec 2 to run in Windows desktop as well as mobile devices such as Windows Phone. CGS MedRec 2 will then also be available in the Windows App Store as well as in the Windows Phone App Store.

N.B: CGS MedRec 2 will remain free and open source!

Additionally the following features will be supported in the new version:

1. Multiple physicians support or no physician at all (useful for notes);
2. Date-ranges (start and end of appointment date);
3. Support for file path references;
4. Appointment link to other appointments (useful for combined appointments);
5. Data field’s length will be extended in many tables;
6. Medicine: Support for information leaflet;
7. Medicine: Administration method support;
8. Medicine: Pharmacy support;
9. Physicians: Picture support/improved communication methods;
10. Support for CCR/CCD XML (Continuity of Care Record/Continuity of Care Document).

Expected release date of CGS MedRec 2: in 2015.
