I've been using CDG Editor for quite some time and have got quite good with it. I use it for everything from fixing corrupted CDG rips to correcting the spelling in lyrics on karaoke tracks to modifying graphics colors so karaoke songs that were not authored as duets that should have been are. It has become a completely necessary piece of software for my karaoke business! I've never had a problem in the past getting it to work, but on my new computer (a Dell with an Intel Core 2 Duo 3gig with 2 gigs of RAM running Windows XP Pro SP3) after I install when I try to run it, I get a popup that says "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)" I'm stumped, and wondering what I need to do to get the program to run. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Dan, I'm sorry to hear it's not working for you. I've also noted some reviews saying that it doesn't install/run on Windows 7 64bit.
Have you checked that you have the Microsoft .NET Framework installed? CDG Editor 1.5.0 was built against .NET Framework v1.1. I appreciate that this version is a bit old now and some new built systems will have .NET 2.0 or later without .NET 1.1 (which could cause this error). I'll rebuild it in Visual Studio 2010 when I get the opportunity and release a version that targets .NET 2.0 (and correctly checks for its presence at install time too).
I've learnt a lot about WiX installers since writing this tool several years ago. Please let me know if installing .NET 1.1 fixes your issue.
Regards,
Darryl
