#168 ToolTalk not installed (Arch Linux)
So, I finally figured out how to get in to CDE, but whenever I start it, I get a message saying the messaging system can't be started, and to go in to the fail-safe mode (which is how I'm typing this right now). I also get many other error messages that say ToolTalk isn't installed. What can/should I do?
Side tangent, I still haven't figured out how to get the dtlogin to start by default, and have to login and then start dtlogin if any one knows a way to get that to work!
ToolTalk errors are typically down to RPC not being started, or if it is, the machines hostname does not resolve to the correct IP address.
dtlogin.service (sourceforge.net) is a good way of starting everything cleanly. Has the dependencies to start RPC and then start dtlogin.
