You don't have to play on their server if you don't want to, that's what it'll boil down to no matter how you cut it. Speaking of which, many may notice the Donkey Lab is no longer running. I have been playing on many servers until I ran into mm. Now from what I can tell by his attitude is the fact that he is probably a pre-pubescent teenager that just wishes he had a girlfriend so he has to push around all the players threatening them with bans if they are clearly better than he is. This annoys me greatly as I happen to like playing BZFlag but when we got some teenager on a powertrip running one of these servers it makes me loose interest in all of them because I will just see the admins all the same way. the server address is 24.88.251.236 port 5155 usually running the MADCITY map. I believe that this "I know he wouldn't call a ADMIN a idiot...." (I called him a idiot for saying that having less than 200ms in lagstats is Bad lag when clearly the higher the number the worse off the lag is.) Anyway he threatened me with a ban and I decided to pop a GM in his tank before parting gracefully. I would hope you can talk to this guy about his administrative eth ics because I think they have run afoul of the darkside of gaming...(The God Complex) anyway Thanks for reading this post and I hope you take it under advisement that I was hoping to become a active BZCop for you guys to keep the peace around the arenas. btw. name is <-=The One=-> |

There is what appears to be a script running every minute on: 66.62.140.111 = deneb.penguinstalon.com that hits my servers, and probably all of them. I'd suggest banning the IP till the guilty party comes forth. Hi guys we had a good week this time there were not very many agitaed folks. were drawing a good crowd of nice folks out there and of a large age bracket. Alright, I think the whole bzcop list should be revamped. Everyone kicked out and only the select invited will return. Jzaun should maintain who gets in and who goes out. Lt. D. could have simply hacked the server to become a cop, it wouldn't be too hard. We need to work away from the prying eyes of these hooligans and work under more secretive conditions. As for server hacks? You need logs, nice long juicy logs, persuing these script kiddies is a pastime I actually find enjoyable. (ooh I just love thinking of how badly they'll cry when mommy takes away their internet after hearing from the ISP company, okay I'm sick and need help, but that's beside the point) By the way, good things to come soon on the Donkey Lab Side of things. Those trusted individuals will like what's comming up soon. I will be quite honest that the the bzcop system as it stands has 2 very basic flaws.. 1. If your not a bzcop, yet run a bzcop server, you do not have admin access to your own server! you can forget the other non cop server admins switching to bzcop servers untill this is changed. There is right now active development on a multi leveled admin system for the server..most of you I am sure have heard about this by now...admin can do stuff like superkills and other godlike stuff, but a lower level admin(ie. bzcop) can do stuff like kicks and bans. This system will hopefully be in place in as a patch in the near future. 2. The perception in the community is not good as it stands today. There are players that hardly anyone knows being considerd, I do think we should vote a new member in, minum 3 votes for example, and maybe if another cop has had issues with the newcomer, they could veto it. I agree we need more servers. I know at least 2 operaters that would join if asked, however theyd want to get around the "not being a cop, cant admin my own server" issue, I suppose the easist way would be to make them a cop I guess, but thats not a perfect solution (im a cheater, I decide to run a server, hand it to the bzcops on condition i am bzcop...then wreak havoc on all bzcop servers) Anyway..the LTD issue i think requires no further comment, as long as Im a bzcop, He wont be. But hopefully this will bring some life to this mailing list and some discussion, Id like to hear what the rest of you think. cu -- bzgirl |

aw guys this is the same guy i had banned weeks ago. the one with the "my cousin " did it story? also know as: zlinx,cheese,cheese cake, sh** cake, possibly dont_shoot, and cafe? and "sid6.7 is a f**" remember we voted to not unbann him? i thgh we were not going to add any more bzcops till we got a better way to verify some one.. we have 12 bzcops. i am on myself for at least 1 hour a day i can cover 12m-6am for a couple of random hours i see dr. vankman,gerbil,spiff all the time too. thats four bzcops plus when ever the other guys are on. i think we have someone in our bzcop office who is making these fo pahs...i would start with the newest bzcop added and work from there...that could be even me, i can't remember if i was the last guy or not. what we should really be doing is recruiting servers. like kernel panics and maybe 1 more (NOT NEW ONES) i do know he has 1 vulgar and thug like assistant but we might be able to convince him to come over and bring dervish with him. maybe dutchrai could come over too with his server? that would be 5-6 servers.... donkey lab will be delayed(partime only)(my fault) for a while and mine (death row) will not be opening "could never get it to work right"... but with 5-6 we can provide enuf variety and fun safe places to play bzflag. i pass the microphone back to spiff!!! sid6.7 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? UNCOOL, whomever unbanned a pair of guys that I banned a few weeks ago, its totally wrong and uncool! unless of course your jzaun or noodle or gerbil you guys run the show. if your going to unban someone else's observations you need to post a reason why your doing such. If you had banned them then it would have been okay for you to unban them but not someone elses! how do i know this? i keep a list of banned ISP's and call names to refence against known cheaters, vulgar people and those that seek to shut down a server or ruin other peoples playing with unannounced robot attacks. cause guess what they were right back on today doing the very same things they were doing before they tried to log off before i could get them but i already had them. during a annonymous patrol. its going to undermine bzcop moral and ethics and performance if we do these things with out notifying eachother of whats happening. maybe you could have gotten some feedback before you did your task. this concerns cafe#, cheesecake and dont_shoot being vulgar again and having vlugar callsigns and possbily cheating ,althought i did not catch them doing that part there were complaints I did catch them doing the other 2 things. annoyed sid6.7 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I highly suggest logoning on every now and then to catch these guys cheat'n... they pertty much can go to stats.bzflag.org and know who is on "such as a bzcop" by looking at online players list. so they wont harrass others when we are on.... Hi all, I'll need permission from whomever or the whole group to unban an ISP. apparently the ISP I banned the other day for "who ever it was" is the = "cousin" of the guy called angelfire or quid... he left me an email msg saying his "cousin" got on with a cheat client = and cheated but the isp was his. do I unban this fellow after this weak explanation or do I let the "hard = lesson" continue? I really do not want to unban someone who cheats..but the decision is = not mine would appreciate feedback on this from at least 2 bzcops.. sid6.7 |

Had a robot attack on jzaun/noodleman today this was not an announced visit, nor do i know of any pre-arraignments to dump 10-12 robots on our communities servers, if one of you is running a test please tell us ahead of time. it also came after kicking some folks...and they all had the same ISP except last digit... i banned ISP 213.123.247.177 if this is not okay please undo it at your leisure. also had to kick 2 more players today for vulgar callsigns. Howdy thght i would keep this out the general publics eye as requested by the bzcop community. cause its a good idea to not get to personal to public, i agree. had to kick an number of people today for language and callsign vulgarities. when asked to change behavior or callsign was told to f*** o** so kicked them only..(3 people) fifix traper another i forget.. a davy(purple) appeared to be cheating but did not catch him quick enuf, he logged off.. also look for a gendakan(purple) a flagrant cheater on a NON-bzcop league server..but i have seen him on all 3 of ours. another guy i had to ban for vulgar callsigns you'll see the new ISP at our site. after change it'sit's i was told to f*** o** so kicked but re-loggedrelogged on 2 more times with same ISP differentiffernet vulgarities.... If you havn't read it yet, read Gerbils speach on integrity and community at stats.bzflag.org I agree with him. The BZCops should not reflect the same tactics as seen in real cops, in the real world. With power comes responsibility. are we still having complaints (per gerbils memo) about bzcops? ... this is getting annoying ... but to be truthful i have now seen at least 2 bzcops throwing people out for non(bzcop) things and/or generally mis-behaving themselves it was rather annoying to watch. I did report this to jzaun so i am sure he and noodleman doc vankman and gerbil are aware of who it might be. ... i still promote bzcops logging in and watching anonymously to see if other bzcops are out of line or if they are infact doing their duty for our community. i am still somewhat reluctant to (fire) someone if I did not see it myself. ... i say for the moment we suspend any more appointments for bzcops until we can establish the ones we got are doing their job, and who should stay and who should go. ... sid6.7 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
