Could someone please give me a hand. I just started learning Csound and Blue and have only a basic knowledge of C and C++ and computers. I can play pieces in csound, but I cannot hear anything when I run something in Blue. I don't get any errors and it produces a temp csd file but no sound. I'm sure the problem is something trivial, but I'm not seeing it. I'm running Windows XP and blue 0.115.0 from the jar file. I'm trying to play Steven Yi's example included with blue: onTheSensationsOfTone. I hit the render button (triangle). Here is the output I get in the DOS window: <TOTAL_DUR> = 359.33334 <RENDER_START> = 0.0 <PROCESSING_START> = 0.0 Global Duration = 360.33334 Began Exec(C:...csound\winsound64.exe -+msg_color=false -+rtaudio+PortAudio -o dac -m135 "C:...csound\Blue\e xamples\pieces\stevenYi\01_onTheSensationsOfTone\tempCsd11144.csd"). Ended Exec gives the same thing as Began Exec. Realtime Render tab under Program Options shows Audio Driver checked and with PortAudio Audio Out is checked with dac Audio In is not checked with adc Utility tab shows Csound Executable: C:....csound\winsound64.exe Freeze Flags: -Wdo sound file tab on the main window shows sound file: empty Sound out: Java Sound Audio Engine, version 1.0 (If I manually put another wav file in here and play, I get the message "An audio line for this file format could not be found" However, if I manually put an aif file in here, it plays.) If I hit "File", "Render to Disk and Play", I get the Message: "Could not find generated file: onTheSensationsOfTone.wav" onTheSensationsOfTone.wav doesn't exist I hope I've included everything needed, but let me know if you need more info.
