Hi Steven, I tested it and it did auto-discover the audio devices using the ALSA driver but not with Jack (Jack was running). With MIDI I had no success with any of the drivers (Alsa or Portmidi). I'm running Ubuntu Dapper Linux and I have two audio cards: an internal intel 8x0 and an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 PCI (which has also MIDI I/O). Csound works fine with both alsa and jack. I can email any extra information if you need it.
