Hi All, Following up on the IRC conversation regarding render settings, I mocked up a settings panel for Realtime and for Disk settings, taking a look at MacCsound and Istvan's Csound5 GUI for ideas. The mockups are here: http://www.kunstmusik.com/dialog1.png http://www.kunstmusik.com/dialog2.png These settings would be used by default for projects, and project can override these settings as well. (I should probably move the sr, ksmps, nchnls to these panels as well). Is there anything I'm missing for either of these panels that anyone can think of? BTW: The buttons to the right of the device settings in dialog1 are for opening up another dialog that gives you a list of options that blue can detect (that's the idea at least). So if you know what settings you want, you can type it in. If you don't know, you can press the button, blue would run csound and then try to parse what it can from csound to show options to the user. I think this will make it easier to make the project more transportable too, as projects can just be set to "Realtime, No Audio in, No Midi In, No Midi Out" and that can go from computer to computer without much worry of it not working. I think too it would be good to add a "Configure for Csound" Wizard that will be an extra way to help setup blue for Csound, especially good for new users. Any feedback and comments appreciated! steven |
