Hi Michael, Well the jar plugin was something I've been wanting myself for a long while but always thought that classloaders would be hard to do, but it wasn't so bad at all. blue's been plugin-based almost since the beginning and I always wished to make plugin building an easy thing for users to do, as well as for myself to do. At one point there was a little bit of interest in building plugins and someone was in the processof building one but then stopped. I think with an example plugin set and easy to incorporate mechanism for plugins, it still might not interest people to make plugins, but at least it'd be that much easier if they did. I always thought it'd be nice if CDP were to rebuild their stuff as commercial plugins to blue as their software designs would work out very well for that I think, and others could always make their own commercial plugins too. There's some plugin ideas which I have that really are not generic at all and answer a very specific compositional need of mine which I've thought about developing and would use locally too, and having an easy mechanism to do that such as this would make it easier. I think too that it should be easy to put together Instruments by reusing BlueSynthBuilder widgets and wrapping them to make a static instrument. I'm very curious to see what people will come up with! steven On 7/29/05, Michael Bechard <got...@ya...> wrote: > Yeah, I checked it out, though I didn't look at the > actual plugin itself.
