BTW: I did try to do a console output area before, but had bad performance problems, or at least I had thought. There was a problem with Csound buffering output to stderr and stdout, and so programs like blue would receive output in 4k chunks. When I had figured that out, I had asked and eventually submitted a change to Csound4 and Csound5, maybe about half a year ago or so (???). However, I haven't tried to build a console area again since then as I've been preoccupied with music and other things. I'll be glad to see how it turns out!
