I tested on my girlfriend's iBook with Jaguar when we discovered that bug and it also happens on her laptop. I had been meaning to change how to set the time display but I have not figure out a good way to do that (though, I think I just thought of something... =) ). > Question about "Sound Object Properties".... > > What is Time Behavior: "Repeat" for? > > Any chance of a "loop" property for an instrument or sound in a score > track? The "Repeat" time behavior does what I think you're talking about in asking about "loop" property. The Time behaviors work such as this: None - passes score within soundObject directly without scaling. Duration of soundObject then does not affect duration of generated score. Scale - scales time of score to fit duration of soundObject Repeat - takes score within soundObject and repeats up until soundObject duration, so if your score is 4.0 beats long, and your soundObject is 10 beats in duration, the score generated from the soundObject will be played 2.5 times (roughly, as any note that is longer than the duration of the soundObject will be filter out). This makes the soundObject "loop". If you need a loop property in the AudioFile soundObject such that the sound will loop if the soundObject is longer than the original, I think I should be able to add that in without much problem. Which leads me to ask, what things would be useful for the AudioFile object? i.e. if there was a checkbox to choose stretch (affects pitch), stretch (don't affect pitch), raise pitch (don't affect time), loop, one-shot, etc. Any other ideas? Thanks, steven |
