Hi All, While working out the CeciliaModule, I'm looking at the next few things to tackle as well. One of them is the time display to not crunch when zooming way out, as well as all the wonderful suggestions for zooming. Also, this is a bit of an old one, and it has to do with the Orchestra Manager. Lately, I've been thinking of having the option to do multiple views, one a tree-table, the other a flat table. The flat table would be like it is now, but it would allow instruments to have the same iNum. Kevin Welsh suggested this a *long* time ago and I simply haven't ever gotten to it (apologies). The idea is that you could then have multiple i4's, for example, and that you could enable only one at a time. That way, you could try out different instruments for your i4 scores without doing much except click a different i4 to use. The tree-table thing was something I got interested in lately, and would allow an alternate view with embeddable folders for you instruments, a way to organize them. I'm realizing as my orchestra is getting bigger, it'd be nice to be able to organize them more effectively. The tree-table would allow collapsing folders, and each line would have the same information as the flat list. Also, the possibility to have named instruments should definitely be included in this new Orch Manager. Any ideas on all of this? I'm trying to spec this out so I can do some pre-design before building as well as plan an upgrade strategy. Thanks, steven |
