Hi all, I've been slowly getting through the last parts of the CeciliaModule soundObject the past week (not as much time spend on getting work done as I'd like...). I had the idea yesterday to redo blueLive's interface a bit to be somewhat max/jmax/pd like. The idea would be to have some simple interface objects, pretty much a bang button, a toggle, a timer, and then the soundObject boxes. I think what might be interesting is that I was thinking othat clicking on the box for the soundObject boxes would bring up the editor, as it does now in blueLive. This is something I thought might be an interesting thing for PD to have, that ability for an object to have a GUI editor, thus you could have you typical box: [osc~ ] or say: [someVst~ ] and if you clicked on that box, you could bring up the VST's GUI in an area below it. Anyways... just sketching out ideas. Probably won't touch this idea for a little bit as the other soundObjects (upic, metasynth styled objects) are more pressing. Any responses? Would blueLive having capabilities more max/pd like be of interest? Thanks, steven p.s. - I may have mentioned that blueLive didn't work on OSX, but I was wrong. It works fine on OSX, just not windows. |
