[Bluemusic-users] Use of the PatternObject in a SoundObjectLayer versus a PatternLayerGroup

Dear list,

I am wondering about the use of the PatternObject in a SoundObjectLayer 
versus a PatternLayerGroup. What is the advantage of one or the other 
and in which situations should the PatternObject be used preferably 
opposed to a PatternLayerGroup? I have not worked with patterns before 
and I am just trying to find my way into it...

A hint would be appreciated a lot.
