Hi Steven, personally, i think i would not care too much if all the features of blue can not be translated 1:1 to Csound code. Blue is "my" compositional environment and we ( i mean you :P) can do whatever we want with it - if it suits our needs. Csound itself is not such an compositional tool in itself, neither is CsoundQt to my opinion. Blue *should* add this composition element to Csound. If that can be done, perhaps blue, with all of its potential, can be the composition tool for people that are used to working to DAWs. I have always thought that blue should, as a composition tool, have a bigger place in the Csound community. Of course, this is my personal opinion, from seeing its potential. There are already Blue Variables for example. I do not know what code they contain. Automation Lines and Points are an important feature in blue, that really help shape the composition. Their visual presentation is very important, as important as they are in Cubase, Pro Tools or Logic. Why not take a step further? (this is a rhetorical question.) These are my thoughts, and by no means i want to impose my wishes on you. We are just discussing :) -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/get-a-grip-on-Automation-Lines-tp5739660p5739938.html Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
