Dear Steven, if Java 8 could wait a bit, I'd appreciate that. But I do see now the advantage for you and if Java 1.7. definitively slows down your work…go for it. B.t.w.: Returning from holiday today the first thing I did was uninstalling Java 1.8 from my OSX 10.7 computer. Well, it ran for the music-stuff, but other important programs behaved like haunted. I hope and I guess, it will be better now, so installing Java 1.8 on OSX 10.7 *alas* is possible, but definitely not recommended by me.
