That's odd. Did you by chance copy the 2.5.6 release on top of another one? I'd suggest unzipping to a unique location and running from there just to check. For Csound, the version you should use is from the main Csound project: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/csound If you go to the files section, you can choose whether you want to use the latest 5.xx or 6.xx release. (I recommend the 6.xx releases in general as we no longer support 5.xx). Also, as a safety you can try deleting your blue preferences. On Windows, I believe they're stored in your User folder, in AppData\Roaming\.blue. To check what version of csound you have, you can open up a command prompt and run "csound". Messages will print to the console and you'll have something like: Csound version 6.01.0 (double samples) Dec 19 2013 Also another thing to try is to go to "Tools->Options", then go to the Disk Render settings, and update the csound executable field to point to the full path of the csound.exe you are using. You can use the [...] button to open up a file chooser to make that easier. For example, if you installed Csound 6 in the default location, you could choose the csound.exe and it should show something like "C:\Program Files\Csound6\bin\csound.exe". Sidenote: I'm about to leave on a long driving trip that's gonna last a few days. I'll be off an on for internet but will try to reply to emails when I can.
