Hello all, I think I found the source of the problem which was causing blue to crash (I think). To recap, I counldn't use the "Use Csound API" option to render a project, as doing so would cause blue to close after one time through. I tried everything I could think of to get it to work. I upgraded Python, Java, and Csound to their respective lastest versions to no avail. So, as a last ditch effort before ditching blue, I removed blue completely from my computer and downloaded the blue zip file again from the website; however, this time I deactivated Norton Internet Security while downloading. I had problems in the past downloading upgrades to my Native Instruments programs while Norton was running. It would corrupt the files , and I found I had to download them again without Norton, and everything would be fine. I reinstalled blue , and now it seems to be working. I made a couple of short test projects and I was able to render the projects repeatedly without blue closing. I was also able to use blueLive and adjust volumns and widgets in real time without any problems. I am now looking forward to using blue with Csound compositions. it should make the processs way less tedious. Cheers. Jon Rowell |
