Dear list, I am thinking right now about concepts to be able to automatise a subinstrument. I guess, Blue_Synth_Builder-Automatisation might be the only way to go for me as: 1. automatisation of a mixer needs the same number of output chnls as assigned in nchnls, which is not appropriate for my approach: the sound-generating instruments are mono, while I work with nchnls up to 16 2. zak- line objects might produce what I want, but as the zak-chnls are not bound (and limited) to sound layers, this may be very confusing, if several instruments with 8-22 parameters, residing on different sound layers shall be controlled. 3. I am not sure, if it is generally possible to control BSB- instruments by sound objects referring to an instrument which calls the BSB-instrument by using "subinstr". As far as I do experience a simple test-setup for that the automatisation-information would not get passed over to the BSB-Instrument, would it? Apart from that I get the error message ERROR: illegal character (00) in scoreline: ÿ‡;‡;@@@ remainder of line flushed In Csound output, although the generated .csd looks alright. But thus I can not evaluate the result or listen to it. I do suppose that this error is due to a general impossibility to use automatisation for subinstruments. Maybe there is a fourth concept of automatisation I am not aware of? I am looking for a way to automatise instruments which are not called directly by a soundobject, but via an subinstr- call. I'd like to exchange ideas about that and hope that I am able to explain it all well enough. All the best, Jan Jacob |
