Hi All, This is just to notify that I have completed the intial process of converting the CVS repository over to SVN. I followed the Sourceforge instruction and the code looks like it has migrated successfully. The layout of the new SVN repository is a little different than what I am used to, as it made the trank, branches, and tags folders in the root, with projects beneath them. I will be testing tomorrow to make sure that the code was migrated successfully. To note, I had a good discussion today with Menno on the blue chat room (http://www.kunstmusik.com/blueChat.html) and I am pretty inspired to start work on "blue 2", which will be the re-development of blue on top of Netbeans Rich Client Platform. Depending on what I find tomorrow and a little research, I may leave the imported folder structure as-is for the legacy blue code base, then create a new top level blue folder with branches/tags/trunk underneath for the new codebase. I believe that this will take some time to do, though a lot if not most of the existing codebase will be reusable as-is with Netbeans RCP, but in the long run this move will yield a cleaner and easier codebase with which to work with, and will open up many new options for us all. I will likely start the initial import of the new codebase (I have some preliminary work locally) tomorrow, and will be focusing on this as my primary blue work. I still have the discussion of the blue export dialog and will try to work this in parallel with the legacy code base for a final 0.126.0 release, then will direct my time on the new codebase. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Also, I will reply tomorrow when I have tested the SVN code with instructions on how to checkout from SVN for the legacy codebase as well as the new codebase. Thanks! steven |
