Hi, I'm new to Blue. First thanks for this amazing piece of software. 1) I'm studying it and reading the manual http://blue.kunstmusik.com/pages/manual As I read it I'm seeing some typos, do you want me to keep track of them and eventually report them here? Is it the last version of the manual? 2) I tried to check out the last version of Blue via mercurial, but I'm getting the following error: $ hg clone http://bluemusic.hg.sourceforge.net:8000/hgroot/bluemusic/bluemusic real URL is http://sourceforge.net/ ** unknown exception encountered, details follow ** report bug details to http://mercurial.selenic.com/bts/ ** or mer...@se... ** Python 2.6.6 (r266:84292, Sep 15 2010, 15:52:39) [GCC 4.4.5] ** Mercurial Distributed SCM (version 1.6.3) ** Extensions loaded: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/hg", line 27, in <module> mercurial.dispatch.run() File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 16, in run sys.exit(dispatch(sys.argv[1:])) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 34, in dispatch return _runcatch(u, args) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 54, in _runcatch return _dispatch(ui, args) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 494, in _dispatch cmdpats, cmdoptions) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 355, in runcommand ret = _runcommand(ui, options, cmd, d) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 545, in _runcommand return checkargs() File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 499, in checkargs return cmdfunc() File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 492, in <lambda> d = lambda: util.checksignature(func)(ui, *args, **cmdoptions) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/util.py", line 420, in check return func(*args, **kwargs) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/commands.py", line 725, in clone branch=opts.get('branch')) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/hg.py", line 221, in clone src_repo = repository(ui, source) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/hg.py", line 94, in repository repo = _lookup(path).instance(ui, path, create) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/httprepo.py", line 304, in instance inst.between([(nullid, nullid)]) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/httprepo.py", line 192, in between d = self.do_read("between", pairs=n) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/httprepo.py", line 136, in do_read fp = self.do_cmd(cmd, **args) File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial/httprepo.py", line 109, in do_cmd proto = resp.headers['content-type'] File "/usr/lib/python2.6/rfc822.py", line 388, in __getitem__ return self.dict[name.lower()] KeyError: 'content-type' Any idea what is wrong? Hi Nil, Regarding 1, I'm currently redoing the manual in a wiki. I'm still moving the old manual into the wiki, if you'd like to help, contact me off-list and I can help get you involved. Regarding 2, try using: hg clone http://bluemusic.hg.sourceforge.net/hgroot/bluemusic/blue That should clone the correct repo for you. Thanks! steven Note: I've got some commits locally I'm about to push to get blue building with Netbeans 7.0. This will be required now for building blue. OK, note that I don't have a lot of spare time but in any case I'm gonna read the documentation from beginning to end, and I'm happy to apply the corrections while reading. As for the technicalities of setting up a wiki I know almost nothing so I can't help much here I think. > > Regarding 2, try using: > > hg clone http://bluemusic.hg.sourceforge.net/hgroot/bluemusic/blue > > That should clone the correct repo for you. It works, thanks! I managed to compile it and run it. I looked for the manual but didn't find it (although I found xml files suggesting that their were the source of the manual). But anyway I suppose the online manual is the last version. Nil > > Thanks! > steven > > Note: I've got some commits locally I'm about to push to get blue > building with Netbeans 7.0. Hi Nil, Yes, the manual was formerly done in Docbook. I'm finding I haven't had the time/energy to update it and it added time tot he build that I preferred not to deal with. I set up a wiki already but just need to populate it. If you'd like, maybe better to wait until I have the old docs imported and then you can setup an account and just edit things here and there as you have time. (I certainly understand having little time. :) ) Glad you got the code checked out and compiling! If you have any questions about the code, just le tme know Just FYI: The code base is about 10 years old and went through various stages of refactoring and cleaning, but there's still some warts for sure. Just ask if you have any questions! steven On Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 5:05 PM, Nil Geisweiller <nge...@go...> wrote: > Hi, > > On Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 6:04 AM, Steven Yi <ste...@gm...> wrote: >> Hi Nil, >> >> Regarding 1, I'm currently redoing the manual in a wiki.
