FSD blueCAPE Lda is responsible for blueCFD®, blueCFD®-Core, blueCFD®-SingleCore and this version of cross-compiled OpenFOAM®.
This offering is not approved nor endorsed by OpenCFD Limited nor ESI Group, the producer of the OpenFOAM software via www.openfoam.com and owner of the OPENFOAM® and OpenCFD® trade marks. Also, this offering is not approved or endorsed by Kitware, the producer of the ParaView software and owner of ParaView trade marks.
blueCFD®-Core is a service package of a high quality cross-compiled build version of OpenFOAM® for Windows XP/Vista/7 (32 and 64bit), with some additional tweaks, executables and scripts, in order to maintain usability under a Windows environment. It also provides a near Linux experience through MSys. ParaView has been compiled natively on Windows, also in 32 and 64bit versions. The vtkPOpenFOAMReader is the plug-in already integrated in ParaView 3.8 and above, for reading OpenFOAM simulation files, because it offers better support for large files and multi-platform than the original OpenFOAM's plug-in. Open-MPI, MPICH2 and MS-MPI can be used for running OpenFOAM with a multi-core and multi-machine environment.
blueCFD-SingleCore is a subset of blueCFD®-Core, providing the same high quality cross-compiled build version of OpenFOAM® for Windows XP/Vista/7 (32 and 64bit), with some additional tweaks, executables and scripts, in order to maintain usability under a Windows environment. ParaView is also integrated automatically. MSys and MPI support are not provided. An Issue Tracker is provided for the blueCFD-SingleCore project, providing only support for bugs found with the software installed with the blueCFD-SingleCore installers and the code provided in the project repositories.
Currently, not all applications available in blueCFD-Core and blueCFD-SingleCore have been tested. It is still a work in progress.
The blueCFD-Core and blueCFD-SingleCore packages are provided under the GNU Public License (GPL version 3 or above), as are most of the software applications included in this package. This includes the NO WARRANTY point indicated in the GPL.
