blob-2.0.5-pre2 development snapshot

As allways, the blob team is still in the middle of lots of code
cleanups for new features, but we thought it was time to release a
development snapshot. We're still not near a major release, but the
current codebase works pretty well for a work in progress so we'd like
to release it today as blob-2.0.5-pre2.

If you meet any problems, don't hesitate to write to the LART mailing
list (see http://www.lart.tudelft.nl/list/\), or join the #blob IRC
channel on irc.openprojects.net.... read more

blob-2.0.5-pre1 development snapshot

The last couple of months the blob team has been working to crank out a
new release of the blob SA-11x0 bootloader. It turned out that this was
much more work than we actually thought, because we had to do quite
some code cleanups. The major code cleanup work has been done right
now, but unfortunately we're nowhere near a release right now.

However, the good news is that the current codebase in CVS is a lot
more portable than the old blob-2.0.4. Because I get the impression
that there are actually quite some people trying to port blob to a new
SA-11x0 board, I decided to take todays codebase and release that as
the blob-2.0.5-pre1 development snapshot.... read more

blob-2.0.4

Blob-2.0.4 has been released. This version mainly fixes a critical bug in blob-2.0.3 that prevented the use of ramdisks on SA11x0 platforms. It's recommended that all blob users upgrade to blob-2.0.4 so they can enjoy their ramdisks again.

I'd like to thank Nicolas Pitre and Russell King for their help debugging the ramdisk size error in blob-2.0.3.

Blob-2.0.4 can be downloaded from its homepage:

blob-2.0.3

Blob-2.0.3, the long-awaited successor to blob-1.0.8-pre2 has been
released. With features like the ability to write your own flash,
automatic memory detection, and kernel command line support. LART
owners still using older versions of blob should immediately upgrade to
this version for an improved LARTing eXPerience.

This version of blob also supports three new architectures: NESA,
Shannon (aka TuxScreen), and CreditLART. Furthermore it has much
improved support for LART and PLEB architectures. Unfortunately the
changes broke the support for Brutus and Assabet, but we will fix those
problems in the future.... read more
